Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very popular. She was raised by her mother in the USA. She was subjected to racial taunts and felt unloved. When she attended a 9th grade school audition in which she received praises for her voice and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. It not only boosted her confidence, but it was also a change in the direction in which she went on to pursue her professional career. In 1992, she received her degree from New York's Julliard School. She started her professional journey at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot she portrayed the role of Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as critical praise. In 2007 she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. As a well-known singer, she has also recorded a song and a play. She is an activist who strives to promote LGBT equality.
