Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is a popular American cookbook author for many decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina started her career for the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policies and the budget. After initially finding the job intellectually stimulating and exciting however, she began to get bored. Barefoot Contessa was then acquired. After 18 years of making her business a massive success, she sold it and began creating her first novel. Many other cookbooks and magazine columns came later. The Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. In addition, she sells everything from cooking equipment to tools and storage containers. Ina has never attended any cookery schools nor worked at a restaurant. She is entirely self-taught. Ina is known for her relaxed style of cooking and entertaining. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet and Roasted Lemon Chicken Mac and Cheese, Mac and Beef Bourguignon. cheese with Beatty's Chocolate Cake, and Lemon Bars.
