Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in the US for more than forty years. Most famously, she is known for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). Her stage work began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then, she appeared on Broadway in various productions until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. The singer also released her debut album, titled It's Time to Tina during the same year. Louise made her foray into Hollywood as Griselda Walden, a character from God's Little Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film was praised widely as well as Louise won her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. Her next unforgettable role was in 1964. She signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her acting career between Broadway television and Hollywood playing more serious roles as opposed to her perception of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she also has made an impact as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex on August 28, 1965. Her family later relocated to Toronto to spend her youth. She settled in Vancouver when she was chosen for the role of Samantha Carter.
