Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day, is an American R&B/Soul musician and singer. Apart from a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she has also been nominated as an Academy Award. Andra Day, an accomplished singer-songwriter with roots in blues, gospel and gospel with a love of the current world. She is much more than an R&B throwback expert. Her ability to blend her influences of jazz, gospel and the blues into the R&B genre is impressive. The debut album of Andra Day, Cheers to Fall (2015) has topped the hiphop/R&B charts, and her contributions towards Marshall (2017) earned her a Grammy Award and Academy Award. Amen (2018) Take Care of Your Troubles (2020), and her Golden Globe-winning performance as Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) have continued to raise expectations for her second album. Andra was born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. Growing up living in San Diego and surrounding areas, she began performing in church and enrolled to at the School of Creative and Performing Arts. She switched her attention on modern R&B to pop after graduating and was later again drawn to soul and jazz artists she was a fan of in her youth. An important break occurred after a show she performed was caught by Kai Millard Morris who subsequently gave some of Day's tracks to husband Stevie Wonder. The Motown legend then linked Day with music industry veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day was signed by Warner Bros. after gaining the attention of a huge YouTube fan base with Gurvitz & Jeffrey Evans Buskin. The track was listened to promptly from radio DJs. After signing in 2015 with Warner Bros. Records she began working on her debut album Cheers To The Fall featuring Adrian Gurvitz. The album included the track"Rise Up" which became an appeal to social justice movements around the globe. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations, one of which was for Best R&B Album. In the year 2019, she released her second album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album that tells the story of the legendary jazz vocalist. The United States against Billie Holiday was released in 2021. It was the same year she appeared in the film Holiday. Andi Mattichak is an American actor. She first appeared in television series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods prior to making her feature film debut as Allyson Nelson on the film horror series Halloween and the sequels. Andi matichak is an American actress, born 03 May 1994 Framingham in Massachusetts.
